Prescysin Warmtone Paper Developer

PRESCYSIN WARMTONE PAPER DEVELOPER
INSTRUCTIONS

Prescysin warmtone paper developer is based on that superb developing agent glycin – famous for its warm tone, smooth tonal range and sparkling highlights. Prescysin’s effects are more clearly seen when used with chloro-bromide papers, but will give warm tones with most papers, except coldtone.

Glycin is a wonderful developing agent for both film and paper. It is fine grain, ultra clean working, and produces THE most attractive warm tone prints with the subtlest highlights. Print craftsmen and women long ago recognised the Ansco 130 formula based on glycin as the experts’ choice. Ansel Adams used a modified version of it for some of his very finest work. So why don’t we see this wonderful ingredient in commercially available developers? Because it costs a fortune! And is difficult to get hold of. But sometimes the best is worth paying for. New Prescysin is my own take on the lovely formula updated for today’s papers. Now you can have deep rich shadows, and simultaneously get the most delicate highlights as if you were using a two bath print developer. If you are a traditional printer, don’t miss this. The price is high because the cost to us is high. You can treat yourself to it as a luxury, but we think you’ll consider it an investment in unmatched quality once you have tried it.

Method.

Mix Prescysin anywhere between 1:1 and 1:8 with water at 20 degrees C. The more dilute the working solution the longer the development time, ranging from 1.5 minutes to 5 minutes for the more dilute. Agitate continuously during development, ensuring that the direction of liquid flow is varied.

Storage.

Prescysin developer will keep well for at least 6 months, undiluted and in its original container and tightly capped.

Caution; Treat all chemicals with caution and keep out of the reach of children. Do not store chemicals in containers designed for food or drink. Use gloves during use and wash splashes from the skin immediately. In case of contact with the eyes wash with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice.
